TideGlass

Terms, in plain words.

TideGlass is made by GoldenBerry Software OÜ. Using the app or buying a licence means you agree to what follows.

The free tier

Ten worlds are free, for as long as TideGlass exists. There is no account, no card, and nothing that expires. Downloading the app costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

What a licence buys

A licence is a one-time purchase that opens the whole library for your personal use, including worlds added after you bought it. A key is yours, for you and the Macs you use. Sharing a key beyond that, reselling it, or publishing it can end the licence.

Refunds

The refund policy is its own page, in the same plain words: tideglass.app/refunds.

Updates

The app updates itself through its built-in updater, and updates are included with your licence. We ship often, and we retire or rework worlds when they are not good enough yet; the library grows over time, and a licence covers all of it.

The giving pledge

We donate 20% of every sale to environmental non-profits. That is a promise we make about our own revenue, described on the giving page; it is not a term of your purchase and creates no rights or obligations for you.

The ordinary limits

TideGlass is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. It is an ambient app for a screen, and we work hard to keep it stable, but we cannot promise it is free of faults or fit for any particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our liability for anything arising from the app or these terms is limited to what you paid for your licence.

The boring rest

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, where GoldenBerry Software OÜ is registered. If we change these terms, the current version lives at this address, and the change applies from when it is published. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
