TideGlass

Privacy, in plain words.

TideGlass is built to be left alone, and so are you.

The app

TideGlass listens to your system audio to drive its scenes. That analysis happens entirely on your Mac, in real time, and is never stored, logged, or transmitted. There are no accounts, so there is nobody for us to know you as.

What we do measure

The app sends anonymous product analytics: which world is on screen and how long it stays, which controls get used, whether a licence activated, and crash reports. That is how we learn which worlds are worth building more of. Events carry a random id generated on your Mac, never a name, an email, or a licence key.

We never send your audio or anything derived from it, and never what you are listening to. Our provider is PostHog, on their EU servers. Nothing is sold or shared.

This website

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It does count page views, so we can tell which of the places we posted about TideGlass actually brought anyone here. That counting runs in cookieless mode: no cookie, no local storage, no identifier kept between visits, so every visit is simply another anonymous visit and there is nothing to build a profile from. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives the standard requests any font load involves.

Email

If you write to hello@tideglass.app, we use your address to reply, and for nothing else.
